Greetings
I am an interdisciplinary artist, designer & conserver. I have worked for over a decade designing clothing and objects, and more recently film and interior. I began with cult-followed avant-garde brand, InAisce which has since morphed into the minimalist brand, EŸN VAS. I have consulted for startups and large brands alike to introduce new designs, concepts, and strategies.
My art media range from photography, to ink, to conventional acrylic/oil on canvas, to nature installations. I use these disciplines as a practice to metabolize and refine raw concepts.
For me, maintenance and conservation are as important as the act of creation, and I try to only materialize things when I have something special to give the world, doing so with great care and deliberation.
I was born in the mountains of Colorado, have lived long stretches in Italy, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, and after half my life in New York I landed quite by accident in Oregon where I spent two years conversing with the wilderness. I have recently returned to city living, now Los Angeles, where I practice from a loft in the center of Skid Row. I divide my time between LA, NY, Tokyo, and deep wilderness whenever I can.
